As a special Launch Day treat, enjoy this excerpt from "The Fallibility of God":
Sometimes, rumors spread so widely – permeate society so completely – that even the poor schmucks they're about start to believe them.
Just ask God.
A rumor started, a long, long time ago now, that God is infallible. Perfect. Omniscient. Completely untrue, of course, but it sounded good, which is how rumors take off.
If God were infallible, there wouldn't be floods that destroy entire towns. If he were perfect, there wouldn't be murderers and psychopaths wandering the streets. If he were omniscient, certain creatures would never have been created.
Take zombies, for example.
There would be no zombies today if God were as all-knowing and all powerful as the rumors would have him be. He would have seen the error of his ways, before he made them, and he would have spared the world countless centuries of fear and uncertainty.

Monday's Meme of the Week

Let me be clear: I do not find this amusing. Terrifying. Horrifying. Butt-clenchingly frightening.

All too true.

But not amusing.

This shit is scary, y'all.

A Day at the Pictures

I love the Six Nations. Why? Well, it's not because I'm a huge rugby fan. Jay and I came to an agreement, several years ago now, that I'd get a movie day so he could go hang out with his friends and watch the match.

I'd say the agreement is skewed in my favour!

Anywho... Today was my first rugby movie day. What did I go see?

Sing is exactly what you'd expect it to be: fun and feel-good but nothing special. It's good. Just good.

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter was nostalgic. It was nice to see Claire again and to go back to the Hive.

The special effects and stunts were slick. Visually, it was stunning.

You'll notice I've refrained from giving any kind of opinion yet. I'm finding it hard to form one. I keep going back and forth between "This was good fun. I loved it!" and "What the fuck was up with that? Oh, I don't like that."

What did you think of it?

Acceptance #2 of 2017

After an incredibly slow start to the year, I feel like I'm finding my stride again.

My creepy, sexy short story, "The Night He Came", is joining Thirteen O'Clock Press's Blood anthology. Whoot!

It's a story that I fought with for a long time and never really felt comfortable enough to submit. For starters, it was in first person and that never sits well with me. So I re-wrote it in third person and gave it a new ending and... success!

The Prediction Weekly Flash Fiction Challenge

Today, I'm a happy Wondra. I just started taking part in the Prediction Weekly Flash Fiction Challenge and scored the top spot. Whoot!

It's been pointed out to me, on many occasions, that brevity is not my strong suit so sticking to such a small word limit is a real toughie for me. This'll be good practice.

I strongly suggest that all you writers join in! Go here: http://predictionfiction.blogspot.co.uk/
