How can you tell that Wondra doesn't want to be in work today?

5. She came in five minutes late. (Although she did TRY to be later.)

4. She showed up with a bag of Doritos and a Dr Pepper.

3. She's made a verbal protest condemning the practice of working on such an important day...And I mean Katie's birthday, of course!

2. She told a customer to call back and lie about what was wrong with his tv so she could exchange it.

1. She wore her pajamas!

Who had a good Christmas? I did. (Minus the part where our exhaust fell off the car on Christmas day leaving us stranded on the M4 for an hour.)

I got a bunch of goodies and Jay liked the pressies I got him. (Many weeks of DVD hunting.) Good husbands buy their wives "An Encyclopedia of 5,000 Spells."  *drool*

And food.... so much food... much of which will never, ever leave my hips...

Now religiously dieting to loose weight before the next convention season. So excited about meeting Q!

And booze... so much booze... We went out both Christmas Eve and Boxing Day with Jay's friends. (Not to mention boozing it up on Christmas Day. Wahoo.)

Jay and I got time off together which was absolutely great. I'm looking forward to our mini break now. Yay! Two weeks! Katie's mom is pitching her novel to Harlequin about then as well so GO MOM! (My novel rests at a meagre 17,000 words.)

I have an appointment with a careers advisor in two weeks. Yay!  *happy, happy back to school dance* In the meantime, I'm just suppose to get my transcripts from my old schools... Hm... that could prove a bit more difficult. Testing me... Why are they always testing me?

I finished my "Christmas" shopping Saturday and wrapping on Sunday. Jay and I got presents from Katie just the other day.

ALL THAT GLITTER! Glitter all over the car, over me, over the couch, over the presents. EVERYWHERE! It was EIGHT YEARS AGO!

I WILL get you back. *glare*

Number of customers so far today determined to rip open my throat open and suck the blood from my body: 3 (but it's only 12:00)

Number of customers who actually realise that we are actually humans, not robots with phones built in to our ears: 2

Number of people who have started and quite since I started working here: 2

Number of people starting work here this week: 2

How long I think they'll last: 1 day

Jay and I had a big convention last weekend and got to meet Lance Henriksen.

Busy with the holiday shopping. Spent two hours making out Christmas cards last night. Now will spend twenty pounds sending them all. Damn.

Still writing novel, week past deadline. Never give up, never surrender.

Love my baby, don't get to see him enough.
