My heart, thoughts and prayers go out to two people today: To Katie and Gabe who are both moving for two very different reasons. I hope your moves go as well as possible! :)
I've sent my novel in today to the Dundee Book Prize competition. Please, please keep your fingers crossed for me as this could be the break I'm looking for.
Okay, so there are two moments I just wanted to share because they made me all warm and fuzzy. Last week, Jay came home from work and just looked down at me and grinned. "I love you, smiley," he said. And when he came home from Egg's the other night, he woke me up (I was sleeping on the couch 'cause it was warmer). Then, he pulled me close and we just sat there. All cuddley. Sometimes you just wanna keep those moments, you know?

I love my husband so much. We didn't really get any time alone with each other yesterday because he had to work, then his mum was hovering around the place and then his mate showed up. As soon as his mate left (at like three in the morning) he just grabbed me and gave me this big kiss and told me that he doesn't tell me enough that he loves me. Awww. I was PUTTY. Lol. :)

Livejournal Entry: Thursday, February 16, 2006
Okay, the security guys at work are making me go "Grraaagh." They're systematically blocking all of my favourite sites. First craftster. Then livejournal. Now xanga. What's next?
I tried getting my hair professionally dyed this weekend. You'd think the salons would be happy to have my money. Nay nay.
Apparently I still have bits of red and loads of black in my hair from the last couple of times I've died it myself. That's okay if I want my hair dyed black again. Which I don't. I want it blue. But that's something they just WON'T DO. Why? Because my hair is "quite curly really" and they refuse to bleach it. So, after two days of trying to make an appointment and two days of getting up EARLY and four bus rides, I still do NOT have my hair dyed. That irked me.
Other than that, we had a great weekend. The G-Mex this weekend couldn't have gone better. We made it to Manchester in only about two hours and a bit even though the weather was terrible. All of the guests were absolutely charming. Plus, Jay bought me a Smile Time Puppet. Smile Time Puppet #2 that is: Battle Damaged Angel. :) And HIS NOSE COMES OFF. I was so amused. Can't wait for the vampire version in August.
Today is Valentine's Day and I'm a happy puppy. Jay and I agreed that we can't do much for VDay because of how much we spent at the convention this weekend so we're keeping it little. Jay drew me a card (With a Moo on it, of course.) and bought me Pride and Prejudice. Good man. :) He's a bit on the grouchy side right now because he's giving up smoking so I've got to come up with something clever to a. help him stay off the cigs and b. amuse him.
Oh, we found out on Monday that Jay has to have surgery done on his back asap because of this ingrown hair thingie. (It's got a more technical name but I'll be buggered if I can remember it.) He really freaked me because apparently there's a nodule on it which means a lump. I'm completely worked up about the whole thing but he doesn't seem that bothered. I hope it goes well. *fingers crossed*

I'm in a really down place right now and can't quite figure out why or how to get out of it. *sigh* Anyway, that's my moan for right now.
Saw Memoirs of a Geisha today and I thought it was brilliant. Haven't read the book, which is strange for me, but I might just do that now.
So... I was in the shower this morning and when I reached around the shower curtain to grab a towel, I saw this ghostly apparition in the mirror and....Well, I did what any mature woman would do. Screamed like a bitch and dove behind the shower curtain again.
When I reached out and grabbed my glasses off the back of the toilet and slowly peered around the curtain to find myself face-to-face with... Myself. Looks like I'm gonna be getting my pale ass out in the sun more this summer

Jay and I had a blow out last night. Then a cuddle. The cuddle was nice. We stayed up later than normal talking and that was even nicer. Plus, the wrestling was awesome... Just for the John Cena snog. Lol! Anywho... That's about it for now.
Oh, you know how deaf people can type into their computer and then an operator will read what they type? I got into an argument with one of those customers today that lasted twenty minutes. You just can't it seriously though when you've got an operator going, "Can you repeat that?" during an argument. Lol.

I had some good news this weekend. (Not much, but some.) Those holidays I thought I was going to be cheated out of were paid into my cheque for last week. Score.
See? If you bitch, it will come.

I met Hayley before work today. It was kinda weird because she had both her kids and her husband with her as well but it was still nice to catch up. We've agreed to meet another day and have a girls' day. I took Hayley's stuff into the agency for her and Jo was a complete bitch again.
Really... Isn't it about time for a house to fall on that woman?
I've started my second novel. I honestly don't think it's going to be as good as the first one and it's totally unrelated. But, it amuses me at work.
Not as much as the people going, "You writing a novel or something?" and me going, "Yeah." Followed by the stunned looks on their faces. Lol. And I finally got to say the thing I've been waiting two whole months to say: "Yeah, I wrote my first novel in November." *swelling of pride... and head*
Valentine's day is way too soon and I'm panicking because I know WHAT I want to do, I just don't know if I'll have TIME. One of those things.
