As you know, the last three years I've been working toward my BA (HONS) in English Language and Literature through The Open University. (Part time, while working full time.) Last year I took Children's Literature and Reading and Studying Literature and it was a tough ride - but worth it.
I just had my exam results back today and I got two Grade 3 Passes. Whoot! I typically don't test well so this is a great result for me! It also means that my honors classification at the moment is a 2.2. I can't believe I've done that well, while trying to juggle everything else too.
I've signed up for my next two classes: Worlds of Literature (which studies the development of the English language) and Creative Writing. I'm really looking forward to both of these classes so I hope my financial aid comes through okay. There is one last class that I would really like to take but doesn't start until the spring: Grammar in Context. I know it makes me sound really sad to say that I want to take that class but a little refresher is always a good thing.
The best part about the two classes that I've signed up for this coming semester is that I won't have to buy twenty novels for them. I might actually have some time to read the things I want to read for a change!
